New Murder-Suspense book published

I have written a murder mystery
I thought I would share the news, that I have written a muder mystery and it is now published at Smashwords.

THE CASE OF THE MAGIC GOLD MIRROR is a story set in the 1960's.
I wrote the book about a couple involved in the theft of a magic gold mirror. She is an art restorer. Actually the mirror was stolen from him. Stone is a businessman trying to find his art piece.
They meet for the first time at her quaint little cottage. And there is much to gain in an estate there.

Beth is an art restorer helping her uncle. But there is a murder on the loose. Undaunted, her friend continues her own wedding plans.

Sometimes a murder mystery doesn't stop with just one murder.

All for the Love of Cooking!

A THING SO IMPORTANT FOR EVERYONE TO KNOW: how to cook!

I believe no matter what, meals are an important thing each and every day. With a tightening of the economy, I believe knowing how to cook a simple, healthy, inexpensive meal can really help the family budget.
I have cooked all of my life. I have been remembering back at some of the grocery stores and things like this which have always been a part of my life.

Grocery Stores have certainly changed, and people have changed, but some of the favorite foods remain the same. And healthy food always remains the same!

I still look at ads and coupons for sales, that is for sure!

I still love to share my recipes with people and show them how to cook things when they ask.

I know about cooking in Hard Times!

THE GREAT DEPRESSION

Lessons learned long ago, might help now!

When times get difficult and people have to economize, it is wonderful to know how to save money at the grocery store and by cooking simple meals.

I have cooked all of my life and thought, maybe it will help to share some of the things I have learned.

About Vampires and other paranormal subjects

I now have six books published with Smashwords. Of these, the subject matter often has turned to Vampires and the Paranormal.

I like to think, what if, and that leads me to science fiction of all kinds.
When I was a child, I saw my first vampire movie which scared me so much I would not look at what I myself called "a scary movie" for years.

Nonetheless, curiosity about the unknown, and ancient history studies in college, lead me to relook old subjects.

There is a fascination about these subjects. There is something about them which draws curiosity, and then, well, it just continues to be a subject matter of interest to many people and in many parts of the world.

My latest book, The Dead End Survival Project, does include a family of vampires. I am still curious and want to explore this subject further.

The Challenge of the NaNoWriMo

This month I entered the NaNoWriMo feeling I was all set just to enjoy the challenge and the input from great and enthusiastic writers everywhere.
But I have had some strange things happen and that has slowed me personally up. One of the things was I was at my computer working and had an experience with my first Earthquake. My husband and I felt something rolling under our feet, or at least it felt that way, and the house shook. We didn't know what it was, but somehow sensed it was an earthquake so we tried to find out.
It really was! but we were feeling aftershocks in Arkansas of a 5. plus earthquake in Oklahoma. We also have seen tornado weather, sirens running at different times, and things like that. Needless to say, sometimes these things can even pry a NaNo participant from the word count that day.
Anyway, I am back on line today, hopefully working towards meeting a 50,000 word goal.
My novel in progress is available at the Smashwords site as part of their NaNoWriMo participation and also on the regular Nano site. Links are here:

Dealing with Outer Space issues

http://www.smashwords.com/books/view/101503

I decided this year at the last minute to once again join the international writing event, the NaNoWriMo. As part of this a person must write a 50,000 word novel during the month of November. I imagine it was kind of like going around the world in 30 days, because it is a frantic drive to complete a novel from beginning to end. I was able to do this twice in the past years, and thought it would be a good idea to do this again. This year, I joined with the Smashword Publishing to let readers see how this work in progress is going, so I am posting a copy of the work as I go along. I am trying to do this once a week, so it gets rather wild trying to keep up with everything at once. For inspiration, I definitely fall back on years of being an avid fan of Space Adventure Books and Movies. So I am thinking of these beautiful memories of fantastic fantasy.
The influences for myself include: Dr. Spock!

Just Fooling around on the computer

Since my latest book is about witches, "Witches and Wolves and the Witches Exile Road", I thought I would look at images which come up on a search of this subject. Look what I found!

THE ANCIENT RULERS

My Smashwords book, The Egyptian Pharaoh's perilous search for a wife, can be found in many places such as Diesel books, Barnes and Noble, and Sony ebooks. I was glad to receive a Google alert concerning the fascinating subject of the ancient rulers. I want to thank them for sharing it with me as I continue pursuing this intriguing subject
